Tagore Government Arts and Science College, Puducherry, is firmly committed to maintaining a ragging-free and student-friendly environment on and off campus. The college strictly adheres to the UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging and promotes a culture of mutual respect, dignity, and inclusivity among students.

The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted every academic year to monitor, prevent, and address any incidents related to ragging. The committee ensures continuous vigilance and swift action to uphold the safety and well-being of every student.

Objectives of the Committee

To ensure that the campus remains completely free from ragging.
To create awareness among students about the ill effects and legal consequences of ragging.
To monitor student interactions and maintain discipline.
To take immediate and appropriate measures in case of any reported incident.
To foster a culture of friendship, respect, and cooperation among students.

Guidelines for Students

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited inside and outside the campus.
Students found guilty of ragging are liable for disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion, in accordance with UGC and Government of Puducherry directives.
Students are encouraged to report any instance of ragging to the committee or college authorities without fear of reprisal.

Students can approach any member of the committee or contact the Principal’s Office for assistance or to report any concern related to ragging.
